So, whatever.
Then, we got romantic. Mmm-hmm, ya'll. I shall not go into more detail than saying falling over Barbies and stepping on teacups and boats made of Legos in the shower is special. We went to bed after 3am - #5 got up at 7. I can tell this is going to be a good day for me. It's cool, i actually don't mind, but knowing it's going to hit at some point and i'm going to be super tired is a bummer.
I had dreams of making a huge breakfast. But now i'm eating 2yr olds mushy Pops out of a plastic Wiggles cereal bowl and only 2 kids are awake anyway. My excitement for this day is that we are going to Target. AND it's payday. Which means i am ordering birthday presents for every dang person ever. I'm kinda excited because i found some new fun stores which i will link at the bottom, but i'm kinda annoyed because it's our anniversary in a few days and because of everything else, we basically aren't doing anything but hopefully dinner and a movie. Last year sucked as well. Don't get me wrong, we still have fun no matter what we do - but, you know. I want weekend plans! Everyone else gets weekend plans *kicking stuff*. Even if it's just the 4 going somewhere overnight and toddler going somewhere for the day so we can do whatever lame crap we want, then have her back for the night. But not this year. *sigh* *HUGE SIGH* We get to drive about 6 hours in a car i don't trust, drop $150 on a tank of gas and birthday presents, and totally i'm not thrilled about this right now. I want to do something for US! Maybe next year. And yes, i'm thankful we are getting to at least go on a date that night, and yes, i know many people don't get to ever go out ever and they walk 40 miles in the snow uphill with no shoes on to school and i'm whiny. I know.
It's gonna be a coffee day. MAYBE even a Starbucks at Target coffee day! That's exciting to me. No, i don't care that it's like 7 million dollars a cup, sometimes, you gotta treat yourself and not think that you could be buying a bag of coffee beans that would last a week. Shhh.
Anyway, here we are. Saturday. And i just ordered amazing looking soap from Sweet Soap Bakery for my Aunt...the one who has everything and i never know what to do with her when the birthday rolls around. Well, she is getting some delicious looking soap, that's what. GO check them out!!

Raymond has been saying he wants to see Safe House, but I couldn't remember what it was about or if it looked good, so I haven't made an effort to get it! Now I will!
ReplyDeleteAnd the toy infested shower sexy time is all too familiar..
That soap has me SO hungry and realize that I haven't eaten at all today...I'm going to check that site out! It looks amazing!
SafeHouse was great - it's Ryan Reynolds & Denzel - they are great in it! Totally loved it.
DeleteI need to clean my shower or get a toy basket. Bad.
OH MY WORD, those donut soaps??
ReplyDeleteSee, I would be the person who would eat something like that.
Because if it looks that good, it must taste that good, right??
Sounds like a heavenly Friday night and you are right about Starbucks.
I get my Salted Caramel Hot Chocolate and worth every penny.
And if that's what its gon' take for momma to get through another week, best money ever spent.
Happy Saturday, friend!
I had that once and it was AMAZING. I second it being worth every dang penny. That soap shop is amazing. I wish they would give me free stuff for saying that. How do other people work that angle?
DeleteI am cracking about the Vin Diesel comments and 100% agree! I love it when that happens with movies period... lately I swear the cable movies are all like that. Super quiet... than the music gets so loud and Mark will look at me with anger in his eyes... goodtimes :) thanks for the laugh <3 xoxo
ReplyDeleteSomeone told me it's because they are sound mixed for the theater not home viewing. But...they KNOW they are going to go to dvd/blueray in 4 seconds, so they SHOULD BE perfect. No mumble mumble EXPLOSION AAAAAH DEATH.
DeleteWe, too, only get to do dinner and a DVD to each other for our anniversary (or other holidays like Valentine's Day). I don't want to whine about it but, at the same time, I do. Everyone else takes weekend trips or little cruises. I want to go away somewhere cool. Anyway...I can sympathize.
ReplyDeleteAaah yes exactly! I am thankful we get to do our dinner out but...*sigh*. For 14 years celebration, we head to that fancy place called Applebees because we have a gift card and coupon. And i love Applebees, but...ya know. A night away or little cruise would be amazing. Ya kinda can't brag up Applebees.
